**Steak with Creamy Pasta 🥩🍝✨
A Comfort Meal That Feels Like a Restaurant Dish**
Ingredients
For the Steak
-
1 steak (your preferred cut, about 1–1.5 inches thick)
Ribeye, sirloin, striploin, or tenderloin all work great. -
Salt
-
2 tbsp butter
-
2 cloves garlic, chopped
-
Black pepper, to taste (added after slicing)
For the Creamy Pasta
-
100 g pasta (spaghetti, penne, fettuccine, or any shape you like)
-
½ onion, finely chopped
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
½ cup heavy cream
-
¼ tsp Italian seasoning
-
¼ tsp sweet paprika
-
¼ tsp dried parsley
-
¼ tsp black pepper
-
¼ tsp salt (or adjust to taste)
-
Chili flakes (optional, for heat)
Instructions
1. Prepare and Cook the Steak
-
Season both sides of the steak generously with salt. Press the salt into the surface for better crust formation.
-
Heat a skillet over medium-high heat until very hot.
-
Place the steak in the skillet and sear for about 2 minutes per side. Adjust the time depending on thickness and desired doneness.
-
Rare: 1½–2 minutes per side
-
Medium: 2½–3 minutes per side
-
Well-done: 4 minutes per side
-
-
Add 2 tablespoons of butter and the chopped garlic to the pan. As the butter melts, tilt the pan slightly and spoon the melted garlic butter over the steak to baste it.
-
Remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for at least 10 minutes. This helps the juices redistribute and keeps the meat tender.
-
Slice the steak and sprinkle lightly with black pepper before serving.
2. Make the Creamy Pasta Sauce
-
Using the same pan (remove extra butter if there’s too much), reduce the heat to medium.
-
Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and fragrant, about 2–3 minutes.
-
Add the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.
-
Season with Italian seasoning, paprika, dried parsley, black pepper, and salt—about ¼ teaspoon each. Stir to combine.
-
Pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer gently for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened and creamy.
3. Cook the Pasta & Combine
-
While the sauce is cooking, boil your pasta in salted water according to the package instructions until al dente.
-
Drain the pasta and immediately add it to the cream sauce.
-
Toss well until all the pasta is coated in the rich, aromatic sauce.
-
Add chili flakes if you prefer a bit of heat.
4. Serve
-
Transfer the creamy pasta to a plate or bowl.
-
Arrange the sliced steak on top or on the side.
-
Spoon any extra garlic butter from the resting plate over the steak for extra flavor.
-
Garnish with a little dried parsley or fresh herbs if desired.
