Crispy Roasted Edamame 🫛✨ (High-Protein Vegan Snack)

This recipe turns simple frozen edamame into a crispy, savory, protein-packed snack — with 24g of plant protein in one serving. So easy, so fast, and so addictive! 🫶🏼
Ingredients

200 g frozen shelled edamame (see notes below)

1 tsp oil (avocado or olive oil works great)

Sea salt, to taste

Black pepper, to taste

Seasonings of choice — garlic powder and onion powder are perfect
Method

Preheat:
Heat your air fryer to 200°C. -
Season:
Add the edamame, oil, salt, pepper, and chosen seasonings to a bowl.
Mix until every piece is well coated. -
Air fry:
Transfer to your air fryer basket or tray.
Air fry for 15–20 minutes, shaking halfway through, until lightly golden and crisp.
You can also bake them in the oven — just allow a bit more time and stir halfway for even cooking. -
Serve:
Let cool for a few minutes (they crisp up more as they cool).

Tips & Variations

No need to thaw!
You can cook them straight from frozen — just air fry a little longer.
For extra crunch, thaw or microwave first, then pat very dry before seasoning. -

Oven method:
Bake at 200°C for 25–30 minutes, stirring halfway. -

Re-crisp in the air fryer for 3–5 minutes.
