**Creamy Chili Oil Pasta 🌶🍝✨
A Spicy, Comforting Fusion Dish**
Ingredients (1 Serving)
-
75 g spaghetti or linguine
-
2–4 tbsp chili oil (use your favorite brand; it determines the flavor!)
-
½ onion, finely sliced
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
½ cup heavy cream
-
½ cup reserved pasta water (add gradually as needed)
-
½ tsp paprika
-
Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions
1. Cook the Pasta
-
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
-
Add the pasta and cook until al dente, following the package instructions.
-
Before draining, reserve about ½ cup of pasta water—this will help create a smooth, glossy sauce.
-
Drain the pasta and set aside.
2. Build the Chili Oil Base
-
Heat 2–4 tablespoons of chili oil in a pan over medium heat.
-
Use more chili oil for extra heat and stronger flavor.
-
-
Add the sliced onion and sauté for 2–3 minutes until soft and lightly golden.
-
Add the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant, making sure it doesn't burn.
3. Make the Creamy Sauce
-
Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine with the chili oil and aromatics.
-
Season with paprika, salt, and pepper.
-
Let the sauce simmer gently for 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened.
4. Combine Everything
-
Add the cooked pasta directly to the pan.
-
Gradually pour in the pasta water, a little at a time, until the sauce reaches your desired consistency — creamy, glossy, and able to cling to the noodles.
-
Toss everything together for 1–2 minutes to allow the flavors to blend.
5. Serve
-
Plate the pasta and drizzle a little extra chili oil on top if you like more spice.
-
Garnish with fresh herbs, grated Parmesan, or chili flakes (optional).
-
Serve warm and enjoy one of the easiest, most flavorful pasta dishes ever!
