Cheesy Buldak Ramen 🍜🧀
Servings: 1 | Prep time: 5 min | Cook time: 10 min
Ingredients:
-
1 pack Buldak ramen
-
1 tbsp butter
-
½ white onion, finely chopped
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tsp gochujang (Korean red chili paste)
-
2 cups water
-
1 pack Buldak sauce
-
1 pack Buldak dry seasoning
-
2–3 tbsp heavy cream
-
Mozzarella cheese, for topping
-
Chives, finely chopped (for garnish)
Method:
-
Sauté the aromatics:
In a pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 2–3 minutes until translucent. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. -
Build the sauce:
Stir in the Buldak sauce and 1 tsp gochujang. Mix well so the onions and garlic are evenly coated. -
Add seasoning and water:
Sprinkle in the Buldak dry seasoning, then pour in 2 cups of water. Stir and bring to a boil. -
Cook the noodles:
Add the ramen noodles directly to the sauce. Cook according to package instructions, stirring occasionally to ensure the noodles absorb the flavors. -
Make it creamy:
When the noodles are almost done, stir in 2–3 tbsp heavy cream until the sauce turns creamy and evenly coats the noodles. -
Top and serve:
Turn off the heat. Top with a generous amount of mozzarella cheese, cover the pan for 1–2 minutes until melted, then garnish with chopped chives. Serve immediately.
Tips:
-
For extra cheesiness, add a mix of cheddar and mozzarella.
-
Adjust the gochujang amount if you prefer milder heat.
-
Covering the pan with a lid when melting the cheese helps it become gooey and stretchy.
-
You can also add cooked chicken, shrimp, or vegetables for a more filling meal.
